If you’re open to staying a little further afield, there are great options along the coast. Anywhere between Franz Josef Glacier and Hokitika is within reach of Hari Hari, with closer alternatives in Whataroa and Ross.

True West Pop-Up Camping Ground (Hari Hari)

Camp right at the finish line! The Hari Hari Rugby Club is opening its grounds and facilities for True West teams.

Price: $25 per person, per night

What’s included
- Flat, grassed areas for tents
- Toilets and hot showers
- Changing rooms
- Clubrooms with basic kitchen facilities

Good to know
- 48-hour teams will likely be on course for one night, you don’t need to pay for the night you’re not there.
- If conditions are dry, vehicles can drive onto the field and park beside tents.
- If it’s wet, vehicles must remain in the car park.
