True West offers a range of race formats designed to suit everyone, from first-time adventurers through to experienced expedition racers.
Choose your challenge:
3 Hour & 6 Hour; accessible, fast-paced adventure racing for all levels
24 Hour Non-Paddling & Packraft;step up to a bigger challenge with navigation, endurance, and teamwork
24 Hour Full Course; the classic True West experience for committed teams
U23 Category; a supported entry point for young athletes stepping into longer racing
Schools Adventure Race; an exciting introduction for students and youth teams
Entry fee includes: professionally planned courses, safety management, maps, timing, and a full adventure racing experience in one of New Zealand’s most spectacular regions.
U23 Category
The U23 category is designed to support the next generation of adventure racers.
This category is subsidised to make participation more accessible for students and young athletes. All team members must meet U23 eligibility criteria.
