True West is an adventure challenge in some of New Zealand’s most remote and wild terrain.

Teams of adventure athletes embark on non-stop races, from beginner introduction events to enduring grueling challenges across rugged terrain for up to 48 hours.

Armed solely with a map and compass, these teams must navigate their way through the untamed wilderness. Securing a ranking requires completing the entire course with every team member present. Only those teams capable of harmonious collaboration amidst stress and fatigue, boasting exceptional fitness, and possessing outstanding outdoor skills stand a chance at reaching the finish line.
